This month sees David Lemphers from Microsoft talking about LINQ

Before LINQ became hotter than Lindsay, there was ORM and its poster boys; Hibernate, Wilson and NHibernate. Join David Lemphers from Microsoft as we step back in the time machine and examine why technologies such as LINQ are gaining popularity, trace their origins, understand their position in application architectures, and look at the roadmap for LINQ.

The LINQ Project (Language Integrated Query) is a codename for a set of extensions to the .NET Framework that encompass language-integrated query, set, and transform operations. It extends C# and Visual Basic with native language syntax for queries and provides class libraries to take advantage of these capabilities.

Additional information on LINQ can be found at http://msdn.microsoft.com/data/ref/linq/
