David Burela came in as a last minute replacement for our scheduled May presentation and showed us his SOAK system which was the Australian finalist in Microsoft’s Imagine Cup. David works as a Senior Developer for Readify (http://readify.net).
It was great to see numbers rising yet again with 27 attendees and a number of first timers. I’m always open to suggestions to help improve the group so please don’t hesitate to email me if you have any ideas or requests (mail@romiller.com).
David introduced us to the SOAK system by delivering the presentation his team gave to the selection panel for the Imagine Cup. He then went onto discuss the architecture and technologies used to build SOAK. There was certainly an impressive list including WCF, WPF, Silverlight, .Net 3.5 Compact Framework, Live Earth, Live Alerts… the list goes on.
